Esoterotica is a revolving cast of poets, writers, and storytellers based out of New Orleans exploring what it is to be sensual, sexual, creative, and connected. Erotica is defined in the dictionary as "literature or art designed to arouse sexual desire." We do not think this is enough. To us, erotica explores an integral part of the human experience, the pleasures of the senses. It combines the two binders of humanity, written language and sexual experience. We encourage you to enjoy this exploration with us.

Welcome to Esoterotica’s "True Confessions" for October 14, 2020.
Esoterotica specializes in telling true stories, but each night that we have braved “True Confessions” we encourage each other to go deeper, be braver, and hold ourselves accountable.
Beyond the enticing religious connotations or the fraught legal ones, have you ever really thought of what is it to confess?
Confession is an admission of not only our authentic truth but also our culpability in that truth. The shedding of shame, the vulnerability, the absolution we find in no longer hiding.
